Everything, facilities, the family that attends, the spectacular breakfast. I liked everything.

One of the best accommodations we've stayed in over the last two months! The room was spacious and clean. The shower usually had hot water, but it was always warm. The breakfast was superb—there was a buffet with bread, rolls, pancakes, egg dishes, fruit, cereal, pancakes, and even cake. The staff were also very friendly and extraordinarily helpful when we had a problem.

A very nice and cozy hotel. Beautifully furnished, with a very rich breakfast. Every floor has a lounge with a kitchen and fridge. The rooms and beds were great, so we felt very comfortable. The rooms facing the street are noisier, but it didn’t bother us. However, if someone is very noise‑sensitive, a room toward the back would be better.

I loved my week here. The hostal is beautiful and thoughtfully arranged for guests’ convenience. The family running it are very kind and helpful, which all adds up to a perfect stay. My room was gorgeous and huge, and the shower was the best I’ve had on my six‑month trip through Central and South America. The big TV even comes with a Netflix account for guests, and the Wi‑Fi was better than most in Bolivia. The bedroom was extremely comfortable and quiet, breakfast was good, and the location was strategic. It’s only a short walk to the Poeta cable‑car station, and my rideshares to and from different bus stations were easy and cheap. I highly recommend Hostal Bivouac. On cold mornings, turning the heating on for a brief burst to warm up the room would make getting out of bed easier.
