The place is a bit old, but it still works for us - maybe with a bit of TLC, it could be great

My elderly mother and I had an emergency trip to Albury from the NSW Central Coast; a kind and helpful lady at reception assisted us, offered an upgrade, early check‑in, and dining info when the bistro was closed on Sunday, lifting our spirits after a rough experience. Everything else was fine.

The hotel’s location is great, right next to shops, restaurants, and cafés, and the staff were friendly, making check‑in and check‑out a breeze. The bathroom was nice and the room itself was very spacious, complete with a comfy sofa and a small dining table chair that I loved. However, the room carried a weird smell, the air‑conditioning kept the room cold even after adjusting the settings, and the lighting was off to the sides, so central lighting is needed. The car park lacked security, letting cars sit unattended and allowing anyone to park there, and the room‑service menu was very expensive—better to eat at local spots.
The beds were really comfortable.
