The staff were superb, close to Wall, made us loads of dumplings for breakfast and then popped out for ingredients for our dinner too. A hidden gem.

The establishment is near the Great Wall; just a few minutes’ walk to the first station that takes you to the Wall entrance. The lodging is very clean, cosy and exotic. The owner is very attentive, kind and caring. It gets very cold (because we’re up high), but the owner naturally offered me an electric heater.

Everything was perfect, except that the booking platform refuses to accept complaints and never replies to criticism.

I liked the style. It looks very Chinese and culturally immersive. The personnel were really nice. Despite the language barrier they put an effort at trying to communicate. The shower is difficult to handle and it's easy to make a water mess in the bathroom
