The location of the accommodation was very good, as it was directly on a street with a huge number of restaurants, bars, and cool shops. The place itself was very old and run down. The room was very high, so the air conditioner couldn’t cool it fully. The shower head was taped in the shower, and the door was hard to lock. The stairwell always smelled, as did the lounge, and the owner couldn’t speak English, leading to several miscommunications. We also had to pay more money to the owner on site than we were told by Booking.

“Convenient and good value for money accommodation”

The location was convenient, the bed was comfortable, the room was spacious with a balcony, a fridge, and plenty of space. The shower pressure was amazing. The WhatsApp communication could have been better in English; I had to keep using Google Translate. The keys were complicated. We didn’t meet the host. The coffee machine and air conditioner didn’t really work, but it was fine for what we needed.

“Poor communication with the host”

The location is excellent, just a few minutes from the pedestrian zone. There’s a small kitchen in the common area with cutlery but no plates. Communication with the host was poor: she only speaks Italian and insists on using WhatsApp. Any problem met with resistance and she would stop answering for hours. When we arrived, she asked us to send passport photos before giving us the lock‑box code. We had internet, but it was inconvenient for self‑check‑in, and it could have been avoided if we were asked in advance. We extended our stay for one more night, checked again, and were told everything was fine. Then the host told us to move to a different building at that time, which didn’t work for us because the room was apparently already booked for the extra night. We eventually arranged a better time; she was 10 minutes late to tell us we didn’t need to move at all, something she could have said earlier that day. We were charged a 10 € cleaning fee that had already been paid during the original booking. When I provided the receipt, she stopped answering for hours and eventually said it goes to the host and we need to pay. The shower drain was clogged with hair. The building hallway is a bit dirty. When you exit the apartment, there’s no light on the first half of the stairs.
