The star of the show was Angeline, who welcomed us with a very pleasant attitude, great availability, and kindness. The location, setting, and quietness made for a very good night’s sleep. The shared bathrooms, while understandable given the walls and plumbing, were a downside. Breakfast was mediocre for us; we’d have liked more savory options, a notch below the other meals she offers. Her living room could be set up as a small buffet, which might be a viable solution. On the bright side, her milk bread was excellent.

Angeline was a very welcoming host. The location of the guesthouse is ideal for relaxation, with a playground right next to it and a very pretty village. Dinner prepared by Angeline was delicious, as was the picnic basket. A strong, unpleasant odor came from the plumbing in the room. The toilets are not in the room, but the shower is directly in the room – not a huge problem for one night but a bit annoying for a longer stay. Breakfast was good but not hearty enough (no fruit, no cheese).

Good location near the N7, suitable for a stopover. The guesthouse and breakfast were decent. The toilets are in the hallway and you have to climb two flights of stairs. The bathroom is integrated into the room without proper walls, lacking privacy.

“Wonderful, well worth a stay!”

Staying here was fantastic, a lovely quiet location which provided everything that I needed for my stay. I had no issues finding the accommodation and it is exactly as it is described, in lovely surrounds with a beautiful town just up the hill, that is well worth a walk to. The accommodation itself is simple, but has everything you need, the communal space downstairs is also nice, with books and plenty of DVDs to keep everyone satisfied, if required. I did have the dinner option, which I thought was brilliant, with great food and well presented, and breakfast was a simple, but tasty affair with lots of homemade products. A lovely stay! I think the shared toilet makes things a little more interesting, but not a no‑go. The cat hair is something that I was not ready for, but did not negatively impact my trip, just something I was not expecting.
