The hotel is very close to Sapporo Station, and there’s a car rental office nearby along with many convenience stores like Lawson and 7‑11. The breakfast area in the lobby is a bit cramped and doesn’t have enough seats, but you can take your food to the room if needed.

I keep coming back to Tōyō Inn Hotel because the rooms are simple and relaxing, the breakfast is generous for the price, and the amenities are plentiful, so I’m always very satisfied. The only disappointment was finding a hair left on the sink.

The standard rooms in this chain are small but comfortable. The reception staff were a little unpleasant, perhaps because they’re tired.

Breakfast was tasty, but the dining area is right in front of the front desk, so people checking out walk through it, making it hard to eat calmly. I think the space constraints justify it, and I was okay with eating my lunch in the room as a workaround.

The hotel is close to the Sapporo train station. The bed was not soft, and you have to check in on your own even though there’s staff at the front desk.
