Breakfast came from a generous menu, and this family‑run B&B with its conference center is well equipped for solo travelers and groups alike. The lobby desk offers plenty of tourist info. We hiked Vaughan Woods one morning and it was delightful. Visiting Hallowell a few times left us satisfied; it’s a lovely town with top‑tier restaurants. Don’t miss the scenic Adirondack chairs promenade along the Sturgeon “evening leaping show” on the Kennebec River. Augusta, the state capital, is a short drive away and worth a visit. I can’t think of anything that needs fixing, though a few alpacas would have made the farm setting even better.

The inn is quiet and tucked away on a beautiful stretch of land. The staff went above and beyond, offering fantastic hot coffee and a cooked breakfast each morning. For those of us who had to leave early for the Ironman race, they supplied bananas, bagels, and quick grab‑and‑go snacks. It felt like a home away from home, and the hot tub was a great way to unwind after a long day. Thank you.
