“Great alternative to a hotel or motel.”

The room was very comfortable with great views, quiet and relaxing, clean and modern, though I couldn't get the TV to work—maybe it was my fault.

“Peaceful alternative to staying in Wellington in a nice beachside location.”

We chose this place to stay as an alternative to staying in Wellington. It is about 25 minutes drive to the port from there. It is a very modern apartment with views across the sandy bay below. It was very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. Not at all bad in content but we had to go out and buy more milk and marmalade, both of which were however useful for our next stop elsewhere. We could not get the, very new-looking, aircon to generate any heat but the host brought in a tenant of hers over the Easter weekend to try and fix it. It was not fixable at that time as a component had failed. Top marks though for customer service in trying to solve the problem! This is a lovely place to stay and peaceful compared to the city but there are not many places to eat around the area. We found one decent restaurant in nearby Poreira but drove into Wellington the next night and had a great meal at the Yacht Club which is open to the public. Nothing to dislike here

The room was tastefully decorated, the view was excellent, and we felt well taken care of by our host Raewynne, though there are few options to eat or shop in the neighborhood.

The property was immaculately presented with stunning sea views, quiet and peaceful; nothing to complain about.
