The hotel was spotless, especially the linens and sheets, and its central spot made it a good value if you booked early. The constant hum from a compressor or air‑conditioning motor, the harsh green lights from the two security blocks in the room, and the slight bother of nearby bars kept the noise level up.

I liked that the sheets were unscented and the 24‑hour front desk staff were friendly, but the place wasn’t very clean, the hallway doors were cramped, and the trim was still wet from fresh black paint.
