The welcome was excellent and the location is ideal, with street parking being easy. Breakfast was generous and of very good quality. The facilities feel a bit old‑fashioned but still work well.

The reception, food and the manager’s availability were great, and the bedding was comfortable. The bathroom looked outdated and the décor was not very warm.

Honestly, this is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were very dated and I don't mind that, but they were filthy—grime on the walls, dirt and stains all over the skirting boards, and it also smelled dirty. No Wi‑Fi even though it was advertised (it wasn't on or working). All of it. Sorry but the property itself is charming, but even if our rooms were “basic” that’s no excuse for not being clean. I honestly do not know how this property got 10/10 scores. If we hadn't been traveling with an elderly uncle who was very tired after a long ferry trip and drive from Corsica, we would have turned around and found elsewhere. I would have slept in the car quite frankly.
