“Buona base per il trekking”

I spent only a few hours at the property (the trek to Piton de la Fournaise started at 2 am), but I was very comfortable. Everything was well maintained and clean, and the staff were very friendly. Nothing to complain about.

The welcome was friendly and the host really wanted to do a good job, but the room photos were misleading. The listing showed two rooms: the one in the picture (the one I paid for) and a smaller, hidden room with a tiny bathroom that was far less elegant than the photos. I would not have paid that price for the room I actually received, so the ad was deceptive.

“Déçu du logement pour un séjour à plus de 160€.”

The bed was comfortable, but there was no parking near the accommodation. I had to walk a bit to drop off my car, and as a woman alone, I was afraid to return at night. Noise came from the floor above and from the street at night. There was no coffee maker in the room, so I had to go out onto the street and re-enter through another entrance to make coffee in a shared room with other guests. I had to request a capsule and sugar every day. It’s not automatic.

The place feels pretty cozy and the host is nice, but there’s no parking nearby and the neighborhood isn’t residential as the listing claims. The café is extra charge.
