“Owners should be ashamed, classic example of false advertising”

Nothing was good. The room was filthy with dust and cobwebs everywhere. The power point was loose, walls had streaks, surfaces were sticky, and the bathroom floor was tacky. The shower was dirty, the toilet needed flushing, the pedestal had stains, and the hinges around the seat were disgusting. The bed frame was loose and the mattress was completely worn out. We couldn’t find another local hotel, so we left the next morning to find an alternative. As a veteran who’s lived in the field for long periods, these places were cleaner than this one.

I had a terrible experience here. The room smelled like a toilet, the mattress was filthy, and the walls were covered in stains; the TV never worked and the wifi was non‑existent.

The hotel is conveniently close to travel links and Yarm. However, the room was dirty, the door lock was broken, the bed was lumpy and the linens hadn’t been changed, and the mattress was flat and uncomfortable. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned before I arrived, and the maid barged in without warning while I was naked and started chatting.

The hotel sits near the railway station and a store, and there’s a restaurant in the building. The bed was comfortable and flavorful. The carpet wasn’t vacuumed, the classic English taps on the washbasin made it hard to get water into the kettle, and the accommodation isn’t new or perfect, so they should adjust the price accordingly.
