pretty setting. lodging feels like an after thought of the restaurant. proprietor stated that the water from the tap was not potable, provided one liter at the start of the 2- stay and another after prompting, then stated that we needed to buy water from their restaurant if we wanted to drink more. Fireplace was the source of heat, which is fine, but one firestarter and no kindling were provided, suggested that we go to the store if we needed, but again did later provide both after prompting. Tone abrupt and not at all welcoming

“Got what we wanted”

The cottage was very well appointed with meticulous detail everywhere. The complimentary supplies of milk, coffee, tea, sugar, water, and a few biscuits were a pleasant surprise and much appreciated. The bed was extremely comfortable, featuring a high‑quality mattress, excellent pillows, and crisp, luxurious linen. We stayed during a cold weekend, and the firewood and electric blankets made the experience even better. The cottage was wonderfully quiet, and the farm‑like setting made us feel out in the countryside—even though it’s close to everything you’d want to do in Montagu. We enjoyed our stay! We would have liked better communication about servicing; we expected some level of service at this price point and were surprised to find an unserviced unit after the morning. It was a minor issue, but we still had an excellent experience.

“Lovely Upscale Cottage with Soace and Amenities”

The cottage was charming, comfortable, and quiet, with great aesthetics and plenty of space. We loved the views, the complimentary bubbles on the porch, the candlelit dinner with a fire in the fireplace, and a restful night’s sleep upstairs. The only wish was to see more meerkats!

The apartment was clean, and all the amenities we needed were provided. It’s well located, and the staff were very friendly!
