The hotel was beautiful, immaculately clean and tastefully decorated, feeling like home with lovely linens and a comfy bed; it was a perfect 10 and I’d definitely return. There was nothing to dislike.

The rooms were well designed—small but fine—and all the details that many places miss were included. We stayed only one night but would come back if we’re passing by. It’s a nice spot, though the town of Dunsmuir is struggling; I hope it turns around because it could be great, and nearby Castle Crags State Park offers amazing hikes.

A charming old hotel in a lovely small town near Mt. Shasta; the rooms are large, beautifully old‑fashioned, and very comfortable. The nearby French restaurant Café Maddelena is also terrific. A perfect place to stay near Shasta.
