Hotel Carnia, Stazione Carnia, is a modern hotel 2 km from Carnia Train Station. It offers free covered parking for bikes and motorbikes, a small garden, and a restaurant serving Italian and Friuli dishes. Rooms feature free WiFi, air conditioning, LCD TVs, and private bathrooms. A continental buffet breakfast and public restaurant are available, with buses to Tarvisio and Udine stopping 80 metres away.

It’s a great spot on the Alpe Adria route, close to the trail and well marked; from the outside it looks a bit plain, but inside the rooms are modern and well equipped. There’s a wide selection of products at breakfast. The hotel restaurant serves tasty dishes and the service is friendly, though sometimes it feels a little lost when a guest needs a bit more attention. The bike garage in the hotel cellar is a big plus. Unfortunately, during our stay a strong sewage smell dominated the hallway that entered the rooms; it might be only in the part above the restaurant, but it was uncomfortable. We had to ventilate the room regularly. The breakfast hall looked more like a staff cafeteria than a hotel one.

I’ve driven past it many times, it was a mistake, the interior is very nice, a regular dinner would also be good, I don’t need high‑end cuisine while riding a motorcycle now.

I think this place is perfect for bikers too, with a solid selection and a great restaurant. The surroundings were a bit lacking, but after checking out Venzone in the afternoon it was fine.

The reception was very friendly, the rooms are modern and practical, breakfast is sufficient.
