The Wi‑Fi password they gave us didn’t work. The front‑desk staff, a very friendly young guy, handled everything smoothly. The building has only one small elevator, which is a bit cramped. The lockers run out quickly; more are needed.

“Central location but you will NOT rest due to the noise and your complaints will not be heard.”

The location, it is central. We were extremely disappointed by both the stay and the way our complaint was handled. First of all, the building itself was extremely noisy. The rooms have very poor soundproofing, so we could hear doors slamming and the very loud beeps and voice prompts from the keypads every time someone entered their room. The lift also broke down, requiring us to climb six flights of stairs, and there was a water interruption during our stay. However, the most important disruption was the construction directly below our room. For three consecutive mornings, we were woken from around 8 a.m. by extremely loud hammering, drilling and vibrations strong enough to shake the floor. This also happened on Saturday. We were never informed about the construction before booking, and had we known, we would have chosen elsewhere. We raised the issue while we were still staying there, after initially trying to be understanding. The host apologised, acknowledged the disruption and said management would consider compensation. We were therefore extremely frustrated when, after checkout, compensation was refused on the claim that we had not reported the noise during our stay. This was simply untrue. We had already raised the issue while we were there, and the host was aware of it. After being woken repeatedly and spending our final day exhausted and sleep-deprived, having our complaint then dismissed based on an inaccurate claim made the situation even more frustrating. Problems can happen, but the combination made it very difficult to rest and enjoy our holiday. Most disappointing was the lack of transparency about the construction and the way our complaint was ultimately handled
