Large but basic room, fair for the price, in a spot convenient to the town centre and about a 10‑15 minute walk from Pula bus station. The owner met us at arrival to ease check‑in and had made up the sofa bed, as requested. Bathroom and room were clean. A shared kitchen that was large, airy, well equipped and very clean was handy, though we didn’t have time or need to use it. The shower was temperamental – cold water ran for a long time, then scalding. We eventually managed to regulate it, but didn’t bother with another one the next morning. Strange noises at night – maybe pipes, heating system, or something (fridge?) in the shared kitchen – kept me awake for quite a while and worried about security (not usual for me). It would have helped if the noise had been mentioned in advance and/or if the doors to the room felt more secure/robust. That said, there is a security code on the front door, which regulates who comes in and out; and the owner replied reassuringly when we reached out to ask him. New pillows would freshen things up. We had a long, hot summer.
