The bed was the only decent thing; everything else was awful—bad location, awful facilities, broken stuff everywhere, loud noise from other rooms, and I’d give it minus five if I could.

The accommodation sits nicely on the edge of Monte Mario in a higher‑elevation residential building, close to several bus stops. The Cipro metro stop is a 15‑minute walk away and takes you effortlessly into the city, and both the city centre and the Vatican are also easily reachable on foot. Small supermarkets and a great gelateria are nearby. Room 4 features spacious wardrobes with plenty of storage, power outlets by the bed, air‑conditioning, a balcony, and blinds. The property also has a small kitchen with a fridge and some cooking appliances. Contacting the host via chat was quick and straightforward, and any problems with room service and the internet were promptly addressed after we reported them. Check‑in and check‑out were very simple and flexible. However, upon arrival the room was not clean enough; the bedding was dirty and the furniture was dusty. The lighting in the room behaved oddly, turning on and off by itself and at times was unbearable. The balcony door didn’t close properly and the seals were poor. We could hear a lot from neighbouring rooms, especially noises from the hallway and kitchen. The bathroom was generally in need of improvement: the radiator was crusty, making it undesirable to hang towels there; the bathroom fan was extremely loud and urgently needs cleaning; the air‑conditioner worked but had an unpleasant smell and also needs cleaning. The kitchen, while handy for simple meals, was poorly equipped and very dirty. The room service was unreliable and the internet went down completely for two days. It was also a pity that there was no personal contact with the hosts.

Emanuele is the best host ever! We truly appreciate his hospitality. The location was great; after a day in the city we loved returning to the room—it felt safe and homely. The room was nice, the air‑conditioning worked perfectly, and the shared kitchen was pleasant. There were a few hiccups, but Emanuele handled them immediately whenever we reached out, no matter the day or time, so I don’t need to detail them.
