The room was stunning, spacious enough that we could still sit up after the kids went to bed. There were many thoughtful extras: a box of kids’ books, a trampoline, a football goal in the enclosed garden, washcloths, and towels, so we didn’t have to bring damp cloths. The children adored the chicken coop in the garden, naming the chickens “Poulet Un, Poulet Deux,” etc., and the family cat seemed to watch us from a distance. The host greeted us warmly, was approachable and eager to help. It’s a bit off the beaten path, which was nice after a long day on the road, but make sure you stop by any shops you need before you arrive. We’ll definitely come back when we travel to Europe again. The only reason it’s a 9 instead of a 10 is that the bathroom and WC are down the hall, opposite other guests’ rooms, which made me a little uneasy about the kids being too loud at night.
