The rooms were great, and there was a buffet, gym, and pool. The issue is that it’s directly in front of the airport runway. This is mitigated by the fact that it’s a small airport and only open during the day. We seemed to always have to take a taxi to the other side of the city.

I’m in Nimman, so getting around is a breeze and on Friday there’s a pedestrian street nearby. The room, however, doesn’t keep noise down; if you’re after a quiet sleep it’s not the place. There are many staff members, but the service isn’t great.

The breakfast was amazing. The bed needs replacing – it’s too soft and old, and my wife kept waking up with back pain.

The hotel sits close to the university in a newly developed area, and they even offer a free tuk‑tuk to Old Town. It’s a very modern, stylish spot, though Old Town is a few kilometres away. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need; the beds are just right, not too hard or too soft. The breakfast buffet is generous, high‑quality, and offers both Asian (mainly Chinese‑style) and Western dishes. The staff are helpful and friendly. All in all, it feels like a fancy, well‑designed business hotel, ideal for short stays. The only downside is that the rooms lack cupboards or drawers, so you almost have to live out of a suitcase, relying on just two coat‑hangers. The modern design is beautiful, but the placement of the light switches is confusing. These are minor issues.
