Located just outside the small Welsh village of Chirk, on the Wales-England border, Moreton Park Hotel offers free on-site parking and is 10 minutes' drive from Wrexham city centre. Chester city centre is a 30-minute drive away, while Snowdonia National Park and Shrewsbury's quaint town centre are 45 minutes and 30 minutes away, respectively. Rooms feature TVs, tea/coffee facilities, hairdryers, and private bathrooms in neutral decor.

Nice spacious rooms, comfortable bed, plenty of drawer space. Quiet location but convenient to the road network. Not enough coat hangers. The weather turned cold and wet but we were unable to turn on the heating. It's a shame the restaurant isn't open for residents in the evening. The breakfast is reasonable at £9.50 for full English but if you only have cereals and toast it is expensive

The room was not modern but it was very clean and comfortable. The shower was great. Staff were wonderful and the welcome was really great. Breakfast was outstanding for the quality and service. All in all, we loved our stay and will certainly return

The cooked breakfast still being offered is a plus, but I was disappointed that the dining area and bar were not open during the day and evening.
