Hostal La Chorrera

Anita’s service is spectacular; she loves chatting and will help with anything you ask. She’s right in front of a metro station, and hot water is available all day with good pressure. The place was very clean, and breakfast included bread, eggs, fruit, juice, and coffee. The room isn’t luxurious, but for the price it’s excellent. The single room with a bathroom has no street window but does have a skylight. The nighttime area feels a bit deserted, but I’d still come back because they made me feel at home.

The owner is very friendly and helpful, the breakfast is good, and the location is quiet—just a 10‑minute walk from the historic centre. Some rooms lack an external window.

“Mi casa en Quito”

Anita and Ivone were super friendly all the time, showing me how to get here or there and recommending spots, even giving precise directions with street names and bus numbers; thanks to that I got to try some amazing ice cream. The breakfast runs from 8:00 to 9:00, and I would have liked it earlier because Quito life starts at 6:00, matching the country’s 12‑hour daylight; but that’s a minor detail compared to the hosts’ care and warmth.
