The rooms were gorgeous and the swimming pool offered a stunning view, which was amazing. The pool itself was fantastic, but it felt a touch chilly and could have been a little warmer to make the experience even better. Breakfast by the pool was lovely, though some dishes arrived cold; still, they said it never spoiled our holiday.

The view was unique, especially at night with all the lights and the most beautiful sunrise. The room was luxurious and the breakfast was superb. The only downside was the dirty windows.

I was really disappointed. The view is obviously stunning and the attraction, but the hotel itself falls short. I had expected something amazing because it’s a Shangri‑la, but it was super dated and just weird. The staff were awkward and not good; the people behind the check‑in desk seemed scared and spoke so quietly we couldn’t hear them. My husband and I had to ask them to repeat themselves more than five times, even though we have perfect hearing. The restaurant was dated and shabby. The food was good, not bad but not great, and the table setting felt like a rundown 90s dinner. The room was better but still felt flat and dated. The view lifted the whole place up, but that’s not enough for me to want to return.
