Hotel de Magneet

The hotel’s location was great – everything was within walking distance – and the free parking was a highlight; our room featured a small courtyard terrace, a kettle for tea and a Nespresso machine. The price felt excessively high, and the breakfast disappointed: on the first day there were a few oats, on Sunday only sweetened cornflakes and crunchies, and only white rolls and toast (Saturday was better, but even without a nearby bakery there should have been more variety). In short, we would never book breakfast again. The rooms were okay, but the bathroom lacked even a single outlet for the hair dryer.

“Nice little boutique hotel. Cyclist friendly”

The spot is excellent, the staff are helpful and friendly, and there’s plenty of parking for bicycles with two e‑bike charging points. Breakfasts were good and the reception bar is nice and pleasant, but the room had a slight damp “fusty” smell.

The location is nice, the amenities and breakfast are good, and the room is clean, but the room definitely needs renovation – everything looks old.

The stay was pleasant just outside the real center of Hoorn, where the annual fair was happening at that time.

Near the town. Our room was on second floor, but no elevator. Big headache for our heavy luggages
