The staff were friendly, but we never understood what the Lodge was supposed to be, and that turned out to be exactly what we didn’t want—though it wasn’t their fault.

The advertising was misleading: the rooms shown online were nothing like the shabby, dim rooms we paid for, with no hot water, a wet bathroom floor that posed a safety risk, and ants in our bag the next morning.
