The owners were charming and always on hand to make the stay enjoyable, the breakfasts were fabulous and hearty with excellent local products, and the setting in the middle of the Sardinian countryside was lovely. I’d recommend it, though the access could be a bit tricky, which adds to the charm.

The pool and the beds around it were nice. However, the whole apartment had a mouldy, stale smell; clothes got musty in the wardrobe; the shower tray didn’t drain properly. Because of the donkey breeding on the farm, many flies flew into the room, and the same issue happened at breakfast every day. Finally, the staff were not genuinely friendly.

Giovanni’s accommodation was perfect for us. It’s a bit off‑the‑beaten‑path, has a pool with a view, and there are few other lodgings nearby, so it was very quiet—a pleasant surprise. It’s best to have a good car because the road is quite rough, but it’s well worth it. The breakfast was simply DELICIOUS!
