The location was great for us, and the staff provided absolutely great service – thanks, we had a lovely weekend. The space is big and suitable, but the apartment was cold; the AC didn’t help much, though it did make a difference. Some blankets would be appreciated, or an electric blanket that’s cheaper than running the AC all night because of the cold.

“Horrible, I couldn’t wait to leave. I’ve never been so unhappy with a booking before.”

The TV channels were more than at other guest houses or hotels. However, they changed my accommodation without my knowledge. I took it because I was desperate; it was a big weekend in Gqeberha. The new house was nothing like what I booked: the area/suburb was wrong, the room was in bad condition (photos attached), check‑in was at 12 but when we arrived at 12:30 the room was still uncleaned and we had to wait outside for them to clean. The yard looked awful with old torn chairs, there was no air‑con in the room though the one I booked had it, broken cupboards, an old dirty stove, a dirty dust bin that I had to ask them to clean, loose plugs, a dirty parking lot with old wood and a metal roof sheet lying around, a burglar bar that didn’t work, a dirty door, stains on the bedding, the TV in a wrong position, no light bulb in the kitchen – how are you supposed to cook in the dark?

They cancelled our stay. It was a weekend with no other accommodation options; the Springboks were playing.
