The reception was friendly, the place clean and well maintained. The restaurant was quite mediocre and there isn’t much to do nearby unless you take a boat to the dive island. Activities are pricey. For us it wasn’t the best spot in Bali (even though we’re allergic to the mass tourism in the south).

We spent one night right after arriving from Java and it felt like Bali instantly. The pool was great, there were sunbeds, the food was good, the dogs were adorable and the owners were lovely too. We stayed on to keep exploring Bali.

The welcome and the staff’s availability were excellent. The rooms were nice and the excursion options were good. The boat trip was fantastic. A bit more storage in the rooms and bathrooms would have helped.

The staff were extremely helpful. The villa was very comfortable and the pool was clean. Snorkeling is easy to arrange and accessible. I also recommend the safari to see the black monkeys and barking deer – unique to Menjangan National Park. FYI the nearest restaurant (other than the one attached to the villa) is a 15‑minute drive away.

It faces a small harbor where you can sail out to the diving “island”; otherwise it’s a bit far from everything. As a birdwatcher, the location was perfect. About 20 km to the nearest wine glass. The hotel can, however, procure a bottle for the next day.
