“Bom pequeno almoço”
I especially liked the breakfast; they made couscous on the spot and it was excellent— I had cinnamon, there were more options. The rooftop pool is well thought out and stays open late, which is great!

The manager and the whole team were very friendly, attentive and helpful, always checking in to see if we were okay or needed anything, making us feel warmly welcomed and cared for. The hotel is nicely located just a few steps from the sea, and the breakfast was well served.

Cleanliness and service were spot on, and I have nothing else to add.

The PA was quite pleasant, and the kitchen manager is very friendly, approachable and ready to accommodate requests. The accommodation sits in the village centre, with a small mini‑market below and two pastry shops ahead. It’s close to Tarrafal’s biggest beach and Mar de Baixo. However, when power outages occur, the hotel lacks a generator or other backup equipment to bridge the gap, which is unacceptable for a hotel‑type lodging that should have its own autonomy for such situations.

The hotel’s location is excellent, right near other restaurants, and you can eat inside the hotel, on the terrace, or in your room. Directly opposite is a bakery and a pastry shop, and next to the door is a well‑stocked shop with fruit. It’s also close to the beach and two ATM machines. The staff are very friendly and helpful, speaking several languages. Without being asked, probably to compensate for the power cuts affecting the whole town, they moved me to a larger, more comfortable room with a big window overlooking the street, good air‑conditioning, and a reasonably priced minibar. On the roof terrace you can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner; the buffet breakfast offers sweet and savory options. For lunch or dinner you can talk to Luis, who will recommend dishes based on your tastes. I stayed 16 nights, and the kindness and willingness to help were consistent. I recommend it with full confidence. The power cuts were not the hotel’s fault, but a general issue affecting the whole town.
