I was instantly swept into the vibe of this quirky, charming village, then after leaving the hotel I relaxed by the pool before ordering a chilled cocktail. The hotel is so pleasant and the staff are attentive.

The place is in a great spot and offers a nice breakfast, but it doesn’t offer good value for money when compared to nearby options that are much cheaper.

We loved the hotel – it’s small, convenient, part of Galle’s history, and the staff took great care of us. The surroundings were beautiful. Thank you, we loved our stay.

The location right in the heart of the fort was fantastic, the family suite was superb, the staff were friendly, and Dawa’s hand care was exceptional; the breakfast was splendid. The price feels high for Sri Lanka, and the rate could use more personalization and special attention, like a welcome in the room or suggested tours and experiences. We were never told about the free fort tour, for example. We were disappointed by the lackluster lunches, so we didn’t try the dinner menu.

This was one of our favourite hotels ever. The building is gorgeous, the staff are wonderful, and the happy hour was a highlight. Nothing at all – it’s perfect!
