The place is calm and quiet, and there’s plenty to do on the property – a leisure swimming pool, games, walks – the pool was a fantastic bonus for the kids. Nathalie was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and breakfast was fantastic; I even managed to stumble through my schoolboy French. The only downside was that it was off the beaten track and the sat nav had some trouble locating it.

The breakfast was basic for the price, and the dining room felt very cold with no hotel staff around.

The location was quiet and the room was nice, but bad weather kept us from enjoying the Moulin grounds; we also missed the usual tea/coffee maker in our room, and while the large kitchen downstairs is handy for cooking, we had no coffee or milk there.
