Hotel Alvers

“We loved the Alvers Hotel and would definitely use it again and recommend it to other travellers.”

We got there late and worn out after a long drive from Entebbe Airport. The reception staff were very helpful and got us into our room quickly and without hassle. The room was average but more than adequate and became a comfortable refuge during our stay. Other staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and eager to assist. It was a lovely stay. The major construction of the new restaurant was going on, producing noise and dust for many hours of the day; a heads‑up would have been appreciated, but it didn’t ruin our stay.

The staff made our stay exceptional; they were available almost any time and were super helpful and respectful. Even though there was construction on the property, everyone had smiles. There was nothing to dislike.

“Clean but poor breakfast and mosquitos could get into the room through gaps in the windows”

The hotel's central location in Mukono was a major plus, making it ideal for business trips. However, the rooms had some major drawbacks - the bathroom window didn't close properly, letting in a swarm of mosquitoes that made for a restless night's sleep. To make matters worse, the net didn't do its job, and I ended up with a few bites. On top of that, we were only given one towel for two people, and when we asked for another, it took some convincing to get a decent one.

I was really looking forward to staying here, but unfortunately, the prices were way out of my budget. It's a shame, because the staff were friendly and welcoming, but the cost just didn't add up. I think it's a problem with the booking platform - as soon as they partner with them, prices seem to skyrocket.

I was blown away by the level of service at this hotel - the staff were friendly, helpful, and took care of everything, including my personal belongings. It's not often you find a place that goes above and beyond like this.
