The property doesn’t exist; we were not notified, yet the booking was still active on Booking. We found a phone number online that told us the property had been inactive for a year.

The apartment was nicely furnished with a cozy vibe. Despite the host’s timely announcement and confirmation of our arrival, we couldn’t reach him at the agreed time and received no information or access to the accommodation. We had to wait several hours for contact, and the host finally arrived. Very disappointing, because we would have preferred to spend those hours in Florence instead of standing on the street and waiting. We didn’t feel comfortable overall and were only there for one night.

Unfortunately, our experience at Zen Home Zone was terrible. Even though our booking was fully prepaid and confirmed, no one appeared to let us in or welcome us. We tried contacting the property multiple times, but their replies were sarcastic and completely unprofessional, showing no intent to help. We were left without accommodation in a foreign city while also dealing with health issues, which made the situation even worse. We had to find another hotel at the last minute, which was much more expensive and not available for all the days we had planned. Although we eventually received a refund, the overall experience was extremely disappointing and stressful. I would not recommend this property to anyone—unacceptable behavior and total lack of professionalism.

The place has a great location, right behind the train station and well connected by public transport. The old‑building apartment is spacious, the Wi‑Fi works well, and checking in later was hassle‑free; the host is responsive to requests, the beds are comfortable, and the extra bed is also good for sleeping. The bathroom and kitchen could be cleaner, and there were no breakfast utensils available.

The room and bathroom are clean, the place is quiet and comfortable. There is a slight cigarette smell (smoking).
