Kirkwood Mountain Resort by Vail Resorts

“Great location, helpful staff, hit or miss on room quality.”

The place sits in a prime spot up in the mountains, which is great. But the room felt old‑fashioned and worn: the carpet was dusty, cabinets had stains, and the toilet was tiny and outdated. The electronic door lock was unreliable. This was the Meadows property, and the newer buildings around it look much better.

“It was in good location for our bicycle race. The kitchen was well stocked. There is no a/c but found we didn’t need”

It was close to the event, but the building had an aged look and feel, which I expected given its age.

Location, potential, size, kitchen size, the dishes and utensils. Whoever is in charge with the cleaning is not doing the job, period! The floors uncleaned, not vacuumed, the rugs dirty and with crumbs and dirt, thick dust like an abandoned place. The bedding with blood stains that were not washed(dry blood). The bathroom the same way, the tub and tiles unclean, rug dirty and not vacuumed. Booked a room with full bed and got a room filled up with beds: 1 queen and bunk bed. Literally had to turn on the side to walk when entering the room from the bathroom. Had to watch your head not to bump on the frame of the bunk bed. Good thing we stayed just overnight, there's no air conditioning and it was hot. Kept the window open and finally cooled down around midnight. Old building smell was present from the time we got out of the car in the parking garage until we left the building. Good structure building but not maintained. In a few words: it needs a good deep cleaning and good housekeeping -at least- for the money

“Wonderful stay!”

Excellent location in the Kirkwood village. There is a medium sized mini fridge with a separate freezer, microwave, full size coffee maker, and some basic dishes. The lobby area in the meadows lodge has high ceilings with a gas fireplace and comfortable seating. There are 2 closets and lots of places to hang things on the wall. There are pretty trees outside with a nice view of the forest. The bed could be upgraded

“It was great! We would stay here again.”

The place was nicely maintained and quiet, but there was no air conditioning and the fire pits were not available to summer guests.
