The spot is great for walking, right near the local terraces and sights and on the beach side of town; the place itself is spotless, well maintained, and the garden is lovely, making a return after a day out a real pleasure. We enjoyed a fantastic Greek‑style breakfast that was very fairly priced—I just wish we’d taken advantage of it more often! Overall we slept soundly, except for the occasional town noise mentioned elsewhere. What I’m saying here concerns Sulina itself, not Elektra, so it didn’t affect my rating. If you leave the window open you’ll hear some noise from the town center, especially on weekends, and taxis heading to and from the beach can be heard on the paved streets, especially Saturday nights. With the windows closed, I didn’t notice it. Sulina’s location has trade‑offs: places closer to the Danube feel boat traffic and terrace activity, while those on paved streets get occasional road noise. I didn’t check the quieter unpaved streets, but they’re probably calmer. The western end of town, where the road ends, seemed quieter because of less traffic and distance from the beach and restaurants. Like many small towns, neighborhood dogs bark sometimes; one bark woke me for about 15 minutes. Visitors in early June should know the weather can be a bit unpredictable.
