The location was great, the breakfast was solid, the staff were friendly, and there was a private parking lot. Overall, though, the interior design and lighting felt inconsistent. My room’s bathroom was tiny, even the shower stall was cramped, had oxidation spots, dirty grout, and loose fixtures. There was no coffee machine in the room. The TV screen looked like a makeshift computer monitor. The breakfast cutlery was poor quality, and at least one table had plastic chairs whose backs leaned back. Those details don’t match a nightly rate over R$1800.00.

The loft itself, the dinner quality, and the breakfast were fantastic. When the staff member brought dinner to our room and knocked, we were in the bathtub; she had to wait a bit before we could dry off and leave, and even though we tried to keep it quick, it still took a while and she seemed annoyed by the wait. Sometimes she assumed that because we were in the room we should open the door almost immediately, but she needs to remember that even inside a room there can be situations, like the one described, that prevent an instant door service.

“Excelente!”

I stayed at this place and it was one of the best inns in Lavras Novas, with great rooms, a nice restaurant, breakfast, location, and service.
