The staff were very nice, friendly and helpful, the rooms were beautiful and spacious, breakfast was delicious, the property was well maintained, the location was excellent, and the view of the wilderness was fantastic, though the price is already quite high and some of the equipment feels a bit dated.

The spot in Tsavo East was nice, but the lodge’s service and communication completely ruined the positives. We were extremely disappointed with how the lodge handled our safari plans. Prior to arrival we had talked with the property and were told a safari had been booked for us. We specifically asked if we could pay by card, got a reply, so we thought the safari was confirmed. Yet when we got there, we were suddenly told there were no spots left for the safari. This left us in a tough spot because we had relied on their confirmation and hadn’t arranged another safari. For a lodge in Tsavo East, where safari is a main draw, this kind of miscommunication is unacceptable. We felt misled and very disappointed. If the safari was never actually confirmed, that should have been made clear before our arrival, not after. I strongly advise future guests to get any safari booking and confirmation in writing and double‑check it before arriving.

The new part of the property is great. The fruit was not good.

The staff were wonderful and attentive, doing everything they could to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. The food was outstanding. Our driver said his quarters were good and he had hot water. Nothing else to add.
