The staff were incredibly friendly, the food tasted great, the facilities were solid, and it was exactly what you expect when you book it!

The place was spacious and well spread out, and the staff were helpful. The food menu could use more variety, especially since the location is remote and it’s hard to leave for every meal. It’s a Zostel, but they lock the common area at 11:30, so room‑stayers can’t go in and dorm‑stayers can’t go out. When you’re in a Zostel you usually meet new people and chill late at night, but that vibe was killed here because everything shuts down at 11:30. It felt more like a boarding school than a trip or vacation.

“Workation at Zostel Madikeri”

The location is a bit offbeat but fantastic! The in‑house café food was good, the rooms were very clean, and the view was excellent. It’s a perfect spot to take a few days off and disconnect from the world. My partner and I spent a 4‑day workation there and the Wi‑Fi worked great, though Jio service was a little slow. Overall, an amazing experience.

“Location beautiful, but very poor management of room assignment”

The Zostel policy was breached when the remaining five beds were assigned to the same group, who ended up occupying the room space and being chaotic until 1 AM without regard for other roommates.
