The place itself was lovely – clean rooms with a nice Andean vibe and staff who were genuinely helpful. The only drawback was the location; it’s a bit out of the town centre, so you’ll need to take a cheap taxi to get around. Overall, a pleasant stay if you don’t mind the extra ride.

Getting to the hotel by taxi was straightforward, even though it isn’t in the heart of Uyuni. Arriving after 8 pm we were greeted by the owner’s kids who couldn’t really explain anything, and the room looked different from the photos and had no window – acceptable for a single night. The early 4 am checkout was a hassle; we had to wake the host via WhatsApp, and although breakfast was supposed to be included, no one offered anything, likely because the staff don’t speak English.

“Tranquilidad”

Inside the hotel the spaces feel roomy and warm, and the rooms match the pretty photos – very comfortable and nicely designed. The downside is the neighbourhood, which isn’t the best, but if you’ve already arranged transport it isn’t a real problem. They also provide a taxi service if you need it.

“還可以吧。”

The host was super friendly, even making sure we had hot water when we needed it, and the breakfast offered bread, coffee, fruit and a tiny egg portion. Our room was spacious and decorated with salt‑brick walls that really gave a Salt Lake City feel, and the day tour we booked was great – roomy bus, lunch and sunset wine snacks were a nice touch. The hotel is about a 15‑minute walk from the centre, but the path is muddy, full of puddles and stray dogs, which makes the walk unpleasant.

“DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!”

I can’t recommend this place at all – the worst hotel experience I’ve had in Bolivia. We arrived early as arranged, were left in a dark lobby with the lights off while waiting for a room, and the owner was rude, refusing to answer any questions and later demanding payment only in dollars despite advertising credit‑card acceptance.
