“Too far, not worth it”
The staff are probably the highlight of this place. The balcony offers a nice ocean view, and the surrounding palm trees give a tropical vibe that looks beautiful. If it weren’t for Eddie going above and beyond for us, I would have rated this lower; he was truly exceptional and I’m very grateful for his help. The A/C in the living room didn’t cool enough, so we had to keep the room’s A/C running all the time to compensate, otherwise it got too warm. The ceiling fan handle was so high and had no string, making it impossible to reach. The area fan didn’t work, which we needed because the living room A/C wasn’t cooling enough. The microwave was broken, so we couldn’t warm leftovers, but the stove worked. Unfortunately, the property’s location was very inconvenient and far from everything. It took about 45 minutes just to get there from the ferry or “water taxi” that you must take if you’re coming from Belize City. You can’t go to a store or any other restaurants because they’re too far. Be prepared to take a taxi, rent a car, or rent a golf cart and spend time driving to get anywhere. If I’d known this, I wouldn’t have booked here. On top of that, we couldn’t even go to the beach or get in the water because there was a massive wall of seaweed. I’m not exaggerating. The whole point of staying by the beach is to enjoy the water, and we couldn’t do that. It’s very sad because the property itself is beautiful, but I would not stay here again.
