The location was good, but the place was filthy, full of cockroaches, the kettle in the kitchen didn’t work, and I suspect there were bugs coming off the shelves.

The hotel was in the center, but the roommates were awful and the staff were absent from the property.

The staff were very friendly and the location was great; the facilities were regularly checked, cleaned, and kept in decent condition. However, using the bathroom meant walking through the whole property, which could have been better, and the lockers were too small for many types of luggage.

My stay at Valletta Stay was extremely disappointing. There was no proper coordination with my reservation or date changes, and I was only informed of issues on the very last day of my booking, causing unnecessary stress and showing a lack of professionalism. It got worse when a staff member racially profiled me; an Indian cleaner shouted at me to leave immediately, even though my bags were already packed and I was waiting in the lobby for my ride. His behavior was aggressive, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. Valletta Stay may look good from the outside, but inside it’s poorly managed and lets unprofessional people represent it. This experience left a very bad impression of the hotel, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

“Please don’t put yourself through the experience”

It had a roof! Where do I start… My bed sheets were stained. I knew there was no A/C, but none of the dormitory fans worked, making the temperature unbearable. A large, 40‑year‑old guy in the bunk above me decided 8 am was the perfect time to start massaging his member, causing the whole bed to rock gently. I escaped before any stray shots could hit me. I would not recommend staying at this hostel, no matter how broke you are.
