The positives: a view of the beach, walking distance to dinner in Tofo, walking distance to surf at spot TOFO, a nice environment with a pool and sunbeds, a classic and decent breakfast, and friendly managers and restaurant staff. But be warned: there are two room categories at the same price—20 m² and 30 m²—and we unfortunately got the 20 m² one. It was a real cold shower upon arrival: extremely small, with narrow beds, very little storage space, and a rudimentary bathroom that only had a tiny shelf for toiletries. The whole place felt cramped, almost like camping rather than a hotel. The price was totally disproportionate to the amenities; 134 € a night in Mozambique for a room of that size and quality is really expensive and unjustified. With the daily safaris, dives, and excursions organized by the hotel at very European prices, the nightly rate should match reality. Also, there is no Wi‑Fi in the rooms, which is important to know before booking. We weren’t particularly impressed by the vegetarian restaurant, but that’s a matter of taste. In short, we were quite disappointed, especially given the price and our expectations.
