I was greeted by a friendly host who offered a hearty breakfast, and the shared lounge and kitchen were welcoming.

The reception was warm, the property attractive and well situated for the next day's destination, easy to locate and with ample parking, and the communal kitchen supplied the essential utensils, but the accommodation felt like a typical youth hostel with self‑service beds, shared bath and toilet, and it was a bit too basic – I missed enough power outlets for modern smartphones, discovered that Denmark doesn’t use Schuko plugs, and the rooms were noisy and walking on the wooden floor produced unavoidable sounds.

The spot was close to Stege and on the way to Møns Klint, free parking was available in the garden, and the bathrooms were clean, but the place looked quite dated, the beds were uncomfortable, sound insulation was poor (I could hear neighbors snoring), the shared kitchen was too small for our group, and we brought our own sheets and towels because otherwise we’d have to pay an extra 90 DKK (12 €) per person, which seemed very expensive and a cheap detail even with prior notice.
