The architecture is unique and authentic; we stayed in a maisonette with a balcony overlooking the lobby. The local‑style breakfast and attentive host were great. There were a few minor technical glitches, but nothing serious.

The hotel looks very nice and is in a great spot. I liked the rooms and the furniture, and it felt like an ancient Chinese house. Because it’s an old building, it could use some renovation and cleaning in certain areas, but the overall atmosphere was still pleasant.

I appreciated the building’s inner courtyard and the intimate, authentic vibe. Its location near UNESCO heritage sites was perfect, and the traditional breakfast was delicious.

Jane was an excellent host and offered great food recommendations. The building was magnificent and the room had character, and the location was superb. The only downside was the lack of soundproofing.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was generally spacious with a walkable location to the sights. However, the location was also a disaster: the old house lets you feel like you’re sleeping on the street, with no sound insulation (you can imagine the noise from Asian motorcycles), and the Wi‑Fi in the room is virtually nonexistent.
