Without a doubt, this was our favorite stay in Sri Lanka; the photos don’t do it justice. I was nervous about booking because of some negative comments elsewhere, but this was the longest stay we had in one place during the trip and we wanted to make the most of it. I shouldn’t have worried—the apartment was brilliant, with big, airy rooms that were spotlessly clean. The bathrooms and showers were the best we’ve ever had in Sri Lanka. The staff, led by Caroline, were fantastic, always reachable and kept in touch without being intrusive. Room service was amazing and helped with the inevitable sandy floors that come from this type of stay. Minor issues were resolved efficiently. The location is brilliant; it’s low season so I’m not sure if it would be louder in high season, but the bar noise and the rather amusing karaoke aren’t at a level that interferes with an early night. We loved Hiriketiya and will be returning—there’s no point looking for alternative accommodation because we’ll definitely book Clear Point again.
