The hotel in Datong’s old town was beautifully decorated with comfortable, lovely rooms. The staff were very friendly, and because we had to leave early before breakfast started, they arranged a packed breakfast for us. The hotel displays historic artifacts from Datong, with informative explanations on the walls. It was perfect.

The spot is great, right next to the mosque, and you can walk to Fenglin Ge Drum Tower and Huayan Temple in five minutes. The room was very quiet and had a unique décor. The front‑desk staff were diligent, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was free, and the checkout time was as late as 1 pm, which was very convenient for guests.

The hotel’s design is charming and sits in the heart of the old town near shops and the Yuahen Temple. The breakfast was varied, delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised to find soy milk. We stayed for four nights and had a very pleasant time. Everything was perfect.
