We got to pick our room and chose the least bad one… The welcome was good. The beds weren't made when we arrived, just like in every other room, and there was a stained pillowcase. Bottles were lying on the floor. No towels, and the ones that were there were barely dry, so I didn’t feel like wiping myself. The bathroom floor was dirty, the toilet flush didn’t work, and as we went up the stairs on the right, a large room had five or six dead pigeons. It was the worst part of our road trip through Macedonia and Kosovo.

The beds were comfortable even though some slats were missing and they creaked sometimes. The staff on site were friendly and pleasant, always ready to help with any request or question. The double‑bed room we booked didn’t match the description in several ways: first, there was no hot water and the pressure was very low; second, the toilet and balcony were dirty and not cleaned; third, several items listed in the description were missing—no safe, no trash cans, no tables or chairs. Finally, the manager charged 40 € for the room instead of 20 € just because it had air‑conditioning. I noticed the price difference too late; don’t be fooled if you stay here. I’ve booked many rooms in many hotels across different countries, and this is the first time I’ve seen such a price differential—over 100 % of the base price—just for air‑conditioning. Also, rooms are even more expensive if you want tables or chairs, which is unprecedented.

The staff were young and helpful. The room was unfinished; for two people there was only one towel that smelled like it hadn’t been taken out of the basket, and there was no toilet paper. For 40 € it’s a huge letdown.

The location was good and the rooms were spacious, but the prices were high compared to what the facilities offered.
