“heel fijn verblijf gehad, mede door de gastvrijheid en positieve instelling van gastvrouw francesca”
Francesca, the host, was warm, very caring, and made us feel that nothing was too much for her, even though she’s busy with her bio farm. We didn’t arrange breakfast, but Francesca still offered us a fried egg. The eggs came from her own free‑range hens that live in a large coop on the property, which is cleaned daily. Our room was very atmospheric, beautifully and nicely decorated, and especially clean with everything provided. The shower, toilet, and bidet were immaculate and cleaned daily. When we needed anything, we could just grab it from the large kitchen downstairs. It was also convenient that we could store our coolers in a freezer and keep our drinks and other food in her fridge. Our car was parked on the property, and our bikes could be stored in a garage on site. A large, friendly dog named Clothilde also roamed around, looking like an ice‑bear because she was so big. The bio farm houses about 50 hens, two cats, Clothilde the dog, a horse, and a small donkey. The grounds also have several greenhouses where a variety of plants, herbs, and flowers are grown. Francesca can share all of that in a fun and engaging way if you’re interested. Her daughter and husband were also very friendly. We found it a pleasant, quiet, yet lively place—right in nature—and we had a very enjoyable stay, especially thanks to the pleasant conversations with Francesca and her care. When we said goodbye, she treated us to hazelnut cookies—so sweet. I would not know.
