“A hotel with a great location and very solid walls, but with some easily fixable issues in room preparation, guest commu”
The location is excellent, and the walls are exceptionally thick – during my stay there was a ballistic attack, and surprisingly little could be heard in the room, which is a significant advantage right now. I rarely write negative reviews, but some things are worth mentioning. I understand the difficult situation for tourism in Odesa, but many of these issues could be fixed without significant investment. 1. I booked a spacious room with a bed and a sofa; the sofa was broken, and the mattress on the bed was noticeably worn and uncomfortable. The hotel refused to offer any discount because of the broken sofa. 2. A large part of the room was taken up by a baby cot; it would make more sense to provide it on request rather than keep it permanently in the room. 3. Some of the questions from the receptionist felt rather inappropriate and unnecessarily personal. 4. The kitchen area has apparently become a smoking area for guests. I needed to work there, but when I tried to open the window, I was warned about mosquitoes getting inside; at the same time, the strong smell of cigarette smoke did not seem to be an issue for the staff.
