We needed a room near the airport for our early flight out of Okinawa, and the hosts—an adorable couple—made the space feel cozy and comfortable. As others have said, it feels like stepping into a grandparents’ home.

The uncle and aunt on staff were very kind, the building design was unique and fun, and the shellfish‑inspired interior was nice. We were served handmade Okinawan herbal tea, which was delicious and warmed us. The Ryukyu glass village is a ten‑minute walk away. In the morning, birds sang from the garden that you don’t hear inland, which made me feel happy. I’d love to stay again, thank you. The only downside was that there was one other group staying, so we felt a bit self‑conscious when showing them the shared TV.

If you enjoy the feeling of returning to a grandparents’ warm, old family home, this place is ideal. The owners opened their precious family house to create a cozy, innocent, and peaceful spot for travelers who are tired after flying to Okinawa but still eager to explore. They greet you with the same warmth they give to their grandchildren. Because of their age, meals aren’t served right now, but the tea, conversation, and peaceful atmosphere are wonderful. Meals aren’t provided at the moment due to the owners’ age, but there are many great local restaurants in Itoman, so it wasn’t a problem.
